Snow continues today in the central Oregon mountains. Additional snowfall of 2-5" over the John Day and Ochoco Highlands above 4,000 ft. Additional snowfall of 3-6" over the Southern Blue Mountains above 3,500 ft. Be sure to check the forecast and use caution if traveling!
Gusty winds will persist through 11 pm Sunday. Areas to be affected include: Eastern Columbia River Gorge, Kittitas Valley, Foothills of the Oregon Blues, Lower Columbia Basin of Oregon, and Simcoe Highlands. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects Winds can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. If driving in strong winds, slow down, keep two hands on the wheel, and avoid large trucks. Be alert if outdoors! Falling tree branches and blowing debris are most often the cause of injuries.
