Severe Thunderstorms Expected for Portions of the Northeast; Mountain Snow and Heavy Rain Persist in the West

Severe thunderstorms will continue to develop across the Upper Ohio Valley region into portions of the interior Northeast through this evening. Damaging winds are the main threat however, large hail and a couple of tornadoes are also possible. Isolated thunderstorms are possible again today over portions of Southwest and Central Montana, mainly this afternoon into early this evening. Some storms may produce gusty winds, small hail, and heavy rain. Have a plan to move indoors if storms approach! #MTwx
Accumulating snow Tuesday through Wednesday will cause difficult travel, especially over mountain passes, and will negatively impact agriculture, livestock, and those recreating in the backcountry. Stay alert to changing conditions before heading out! #MTwx
