An active week of weather is upon us. Continue to monitor the forecast and stay weather aware, especially if you have outdoor or travel plans.
Shower and thunderstorm chances will increase today into tonight, gradually decreasing into Tuesday as a weather system moves through the region. Some of the thunderstorms could be strong over southeast MT. Greatest precipitation chances will be found over southeast MT, where locally heavy rain is possible. Snow is possible for the higher elevations as well.
Heavy snow is likely along the mountains and foothills Tuesday evening through at least Wednesday. Travel may be impacted during this time, so make sure to stay up to date with the most recent forecasts.
While uncertainty still remains with the overall snow forecast, the best chance for accumulating snow is over the mountains and immediate foothills Tuesday evening into Wednesday.
